Discovery Channel

Joi, thinking out loud on content consumption, said he thinks "it's clearly now a discovery problem, not a delivery problem."

That's neat. I still think that certain media types have a delivery problem. But discovery feels like exactly the problem that content tools have to address now, if they haven't already. Better search and filter tools available. More trusted filters, maybe including some knowledgable and willing humans.

Hmm. That's interesting. Better blog DJs. It's an art, not a science. Let's get some artists on this problem.

It'd be neat if I could ask people who already act as excellent filters for stuff I like (David Chess, for example) to just work personally for me in finding new content. Pretty expensive, I bet. Maybe there's a way that I don't actually have to ask ... something programmatic and spider-y? I don't want them taking time out just to make link blogs - I want the links they would use in their content, the really rich stuff which does more than draw from the periphery of their attention but which holds it and inspires.

I want a link blog which knows what they would pick without them having to pick it.

I want their brain in a box. But I don't want to have to cut through the medulla. (Messy.)
