The ultimate Expatriate New Yorker origin reveal winner

So, what's the best single sentence I've ever read which accurately pins the writer as a former resident of California who now lives in New York as an east Coast liberal? Did you ask? No? Well, I happen to think I know anyway.

Winner: Sarah Vowell. The sentence? From her book, The Partly Cloudy Patriot:
"Noticing an Audubon ornithological engraving in the hall of a stranger's apartment, I found myself humming the opening bars of Nirvana's 'Lithium' and craving a burrito."
